Perched on the edge of my chair, I watched in stunned silence as all hell broke loose on ABC Channel 7’s live news out of Los Angeles.It was April 29, 1992. , four police officers had just been acquitted of the brutal beating of a black man after a police chase on the freeways of the City of Angels. The four officers were white; the black man’s name was Rodney King.
